Prayer Tent

Thank you all so much for the prayers. Praising the Lord for the good test results I just received! Continued prayers for your prayer ministry.

The Prayer Tent, one of Fairview’s community outreach ministries, started during Hope Week in March of 2023. The Tent is usually set up year-round for two hours on Thursday afternoon at the corner of Locust Hill Road and South Mountain View Road. And as of July of 2025, 481 people have stopped for prayer. The Tent has also been set up on Saturdays, during church events, and at Greer Community Ministries. When people stop for prayer, we get their first name, prayer requests, and their phone number (for follow-up). Next, usually at least two people will pray for them, their concerns, and then we trust God. We also provide them with some literature and a “God’s Got This” bracelet. Later that evening, we send out an email containing their prayer requests to Fairview’s prayer warriors for more prayers. On Thursday’s, our focus is this prayer…” God, would you bring people to the Prayer Tent today that You want to touch, and then would You fill us with You, so Your love will heal their pain”. You would be amazed at the number of people that tell us they were not planning to be in our area. God is good!
