Lead Pastor

Eddie and Dawn were married on September 1, 1984. God has blessed them with four married children; Chrissie and her husband Michael, Jessica and her husband Justin, Stephen and his wife Kaylin, and John and his wife Noelle. Also, he has three beautiful grandchildren, Brooklyn, McKenzie, and Ezra. All love Jesus and serve Him in ministry. 

Eddie is a graduate of The University of South Carolina, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Trinity Theological Seminary.  He has been a pastor since 1986 and had the privilege of serving as president of The South Carolina Baptist Convention in 2008.  He loves spending time with family, long walks, and seeing people come to Christ and grow in their walk with Him.




Bob Atwell

Discipeship & Missions/Senior Adult Pastor

Bob has been married to his wife Sylvia for 33 years. They have twins who are 25, Robb and Ana Lea, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and 2 grand-dogs. Bob has been in various ministry opportunities for the past 30 years. He has a MDiv. degree from Southwestern Seminary and a DMin. degree from New Orleans Seminary. Bob likes to watch Alabama football and take walks with his wife.




Michael Hux

Student Pastor

Michael Hux aka “Hux” has been in full-time Student Ministry for the last eight years. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Hux is married to Chrissie and has two daughters Brooklyn and Mackenzie. Hux loves Chickfila! 





Scott Shipes

Children & Families Pastor

At age 36, he put his faith in Jesus Christ and 12 years later surrendered into full-time ministry. Scott and his family lived and served on the mission field in Botswana, Africa from July 2010 until they returned home in July 2013 to serve as directors at the Hope Center for Christ Central Ministries. Their work abroad involved going into communities to equip leaders on how to develop children by meeting their mental, physical, social and spiritual needs. Scott served at Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken, SC prior to arriving at Fairview Baptist Church as Children Pastor.




Steve Evans


In his 40th year in the ministry Steve has served as minister of music, youth, children, education, evangelism and administration but his favorite area of ministry is music. He surrendered to the call as a vocal performance major at Murray State University in 1976.  He and his wife, Stacie, have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.  His desire is that all come to know Christ as THE Way, THE Truth and THE Life!

As you may notice Bro. Steve loves the Kentucky Wildcats!
