Sunday School

If you’re looking to dive deep into the Word of God, we have an adult Bible study (Sunday School) class for you. You have the option to be a part of a singles, coed, ladies or men’s class. In these small group settings, we get to know one another and find ways to serve our community. Our Welcome Center will gladly assist you in finding the right class for you and your family.

Our Sunday School Vision Statement
Sunday School is the foundational strategy in Fairview Baptist Church for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through open Bible study groups that engages people in evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and worship.

We are thankful for the quality of teaching that our Adult teachers consistently offer. The extra hours of Bible study and prayer for members helps to make a great week by week study of God’s Word. You will note that our structure is different from many other Sunday Schools for several reasons.

We attempt to offer something for every person, whether you are single or a couple. Our coed classes do overlap in age. Usually there is a difference in spouse ages and we want to give couples a chance to find a class that meets both of their needs. Our structure reflects the current class makeup with an eye for that class to be uniquely what God wants for them to be and to do together. Each class is different in ages of children, teaching styles, interests and serving opportunities. This uniqueness is good. We urge each adult class to be and to do ministry as they understand God is directing them to do. We want God’s Word to come alive for that group of people!

Adult Sunday School Literature
There are a lot of options that we could use. Occasionally our adult classes use other options for a specific purpose. We regularly and purposely use LifeWay Bible Study materials because:

They are doctrinally sound.
They are educationally sound and age/life appropriate.
They encourage personal growth and devotional life.
They encourage personal witnessing.
They emphasize missions as part of spiritual development.
